It is with a heavy heart that we have decided to suspend all live shows at Meeniyan Town Hall for one month due to public health concerns surrounding COVID-19.
The advice being disseminated from public health officials and government bodies is constantly being updated. All we can do is monitor the situation closely. We look forward to us all, musicians and fans alike, coming through this time safely and enjoying the music together in the near future.
We will update you as we receive advice and news re shows after this first month.
Full refunds for Cedric Burnside will be offered. Please email us (via the above link) with the Name of your Booking plus your Bank Account details for ticket refunds: Name, BSB, Account Number. Refunds may take a few days to process.
We will keep you informed about shows to happen after that time.
The grammy-nominated 39-year-old still lives on several acres not far from the Holly Springs, Mississippi, home where he was raised by “Big Daddy,” his grandfather, the late singer/songwriter/guitarist R.L. Burnside whom Cedric famously played with, just as his own father, drummer Calvin Jackson, did. Cedric was literally born to the blues, more specifically, the “rhythmically unorthodox” Hill country variant which emerged from Mississippi, where he grew up surrounded (and influenced) by Junior Kimbrough, Jessie May Hemphill and Otha Turner, as well as delta musicians T-Model Ford and Paul “Wine” Jones.
Chris Russell’s Chicken Walk will be ‘back on the road’ in support of the legendary Cedric Burnside.
Tickets all one price: $50 (includes all bkg fees and GST).
